FAQ — Couple session in Braga
Can we climb Bom Jesus during the session, or should we take the funicular?
Take the funicular up beforehand, or arrive at the top by car, and spend the 30 min coming down. Climbing the full stairway eats the session and leaves you out of breath in the first frames. Working downwards from the top landings also keeps the light behind the photographer for most of the early morning.
We are only in Braga for a day trip. Is that enough?
Yes, provided the session is the fixed point of the day rather than squeezed between other plans. An evening slot in the old town suits a day trip well, because you can explore in the morning and meet the photographer as the light drops. Tell us roughly when you arrive and leave so the time works with your transport.
Is it awkward to be photographed beside a church?
Not if you are discreet about it. The streets around the Sé are public and free, and nobody objects to two people walking past. What changes near a place of worship is behaviour: no posing on the cathedral steps during a service, and nothing inside unless the parish has agreed in advance. The photographer knows to keep to that.
