Why choose Lisbon photoshoot in Lisbon?
When people search for a photographer in Lisbon, this is usually what they have in mind: you, or the two of you, with the whole city spread out behind. Planned properly, it is thirty quiet minutes at a single lookout — not a frantic dash between five — timed for when that lookout is lit and before the crowds arrive. Planned badly, it is half past ten at Portas do Sol, squinting into the glare with a tour group behind you. The gap between those two outcomes is entirely a matter of planning, and planning is what this booking buys. You give us a morning; we send back the viewpoint, the start time and the meeting place, and the photographer delivers 15–20 edited images of Lisbon looking the way it does on the best morning of the year.
Where we photograph in Lisbon
Miradouro da Senhora do Monte is the default for a Lisbon photoshoot, and it is a default for good reasons. It is the highest of the viewpoints, which means the whole city is below you rather than in your way; it looks south-west over the castle, so at sunrise the light is behind you and on the view; and at seven it is usually just you, the photographer and someone walking a dog. People often ask for Portas do Sol instead because of a famous photograph. It is a wonderful spot, but it faces the wrong way for the morning and is crowded by mid-morning, so the planning rarely puts it first. If you are a confident walker and want the tram in the frame, Escolas Gerais is the alternative to the viewpoint — not an addition to it.
The best time in Lisbon
Mornings, every time. In summer that means meeting before eight, and in June and July nearer seven; in winter the sun comes up later and the start time is kinder. The loveliest months are October and November, when the light stays soft well after sunrise and the lookout is still quiet at nine. February and March are peaceful and often bright but more at the mercy of the weather, so keep a second morning free. Avoid August if you can. And if evenings are genuinely all you have, say so when booking — an evening session in Lisbon becomes a riverside session beneath the bridge, not a hilltop one at the wrong hour.
What does the package include?
The package in Lisbon covers: 15–20 retouched photographs; 30 minutes at one miradouro; Start time set by the light, which in summer means before eight; Private gallery within 48 hours. Nothing is added to the price after the session.
FAQ — Lisbon photoshoot in Lisbon
Is there any point booking if our flight lands at nine in the morning?
Yes, but not for that morning. Book the following day at sunrise instead, when you are rested and the viewpoint is empty — trying to fit it in between the airport and check-in gets you the wrong hour and a tired face. If your stay is very short, the evening river option is a good fallback.
How do we get up to Senhora do Monte at dawn?
By taxi or a ride-hailing car, unless you are staying in Graça and can walk up. The photographer sends the exact meeting point the evening before, with a map pin and a description of where they will be standing. Walk up in shoes with grip and carry the nicer pair — the final stretch is steep, and the paving is polished smooth by a couple of centuries of feet.
Can we do Senhora do Monte and Alfama in the same session?
Not in 30 min: the walk between them eats a real share of the session, and the light changes while you are on the move. Pick one. If you want both, book two sessions on consecutive mornings, or look at a longer format — an elopement, or a personal branding afternoon — which are built around more than one setting and have the hours to do it properly.
